Freeview Aerial Installation in Braunton

Today we installed a TV aerial for Freeview/BT Vision reception in Braunton. The house was located in a particularly bad location for TV reception, screened by a hill from Huntshaw Cross transmitter, and to the north of Braunton village. The only usable signal with their current aerial set up was the Braunton TV relay which provides only the minimum Freeview service with very few channels.

We installed a new high gain aerial, an Antiference XB16 and a masthead amplifier, and were able to get an excellent signal from the Caradon Hill transmitter in East Cornwall. This provides the full Freeview service, and as the customer was going to sign up to BT Vision, which includes BT Sport, this was fairly essential for them to be able to use the service.
